Wow, terrible customer service experience. Zero soft skills, do not recommend. I guess the already low reviews should have been a sign...

I had applied for my appointment online, which only took a few minutes. Then, a day or two after, I received a message with my phone appointment date and time. That day, I got a call a little earlier than my appointment time. I spoke to a man named Mr.Perez and he was very concise and easygoing with his demeanor, he helped me file my application with ease and low anxiety (which means a lot to someone like me, who has high paranoia, especially with phone calls). If I had a chance to thank him personally again for his kind professionalism, I would. He made the first step to a daunting process much easier, fantastic customer service!

On phone on hold for over an hour, only to be given another number for local office. Have requested appointment several times and was informed only in office appt. are for migrants only. Benifits have been on hold since 07/21. and still has not been resolved.

Security personnel and SS personnel were friendly, and highly customer-centric for me. I experienced none of the issues other recent reviewers had. Overall positive. The lady who served me was pleasant. Five star experience! Thanks!

No I didnt
like to schedule appointment in Westminster Md to discuss medicare card. Just retired for US Government on Dec31, 2018
Yes, you can.
What do you mean by "update"? Your SS card is what it is. Unless you have a name change, in that case, walk right in or make an appointment.
Birth certificate most likely will suffice as proof of id.
If you mean last name, you have to do online and then take the required paperwork in a large envelope on Thursdays and drop it in the drop box.
Yes you need an appointment
Yes
Will the office be accepting walk ins on Any given day
I only needed my drivers licence that was it.
Go to ssa.gov and search for Medicare documents needed. When I searched It was too big of a list to recopy on here for you. Hopefully that helps. Make an appt after you gather up your documents. And joseph I dont know her either, but nothing wrong with helping someone. Y'know it's called being nice and helpful.
U can call make an appt but most of the time walk in is there before ur appt no matter what time ur appt is seems they still take them first and u have the appt
Probably, with the correct identity
Yes. I believe you can
That depends on many factors. If you're interested in knowing what your Social Security benefits would be, go to www.ssa.gov , there you will find various online calculators to determine eligibility, benefits, month of entitlement, etc.
No
I know you can order a card online now if you make yourself an account on the SSA website! I find the security features to top nite and the option of an additional security feature if you choose! But you must have a code sent to your phone or email each time you login! However the name change may required some mailed in documents or an inperson visit to your local office. Hope this helps:)
You could make an appointment or walk in and wait to talk to someone.
It depends in the day and availability of staff. Call the 800 number to make appointment time
As soon as they are dead, I'm pretty sure. You need a copy of the death certificate and marriage license. Call them or walk-In and ask to be sure!
Yes, and you can walk in too. Google maps has their phone number listed and the hours they are open.
I think it's open at 9 a.m., most weekdays.
