Amboy’s Asian Asylum

Been a while since I have eaten here since our local one closed down a few years ago. Didn’t disappoint although they must be using a different cornbread recipe as it didn’t taste as great as I remember. Brisket was just okay, but was soft. Highlights were the St. Louis Ribs, which had meat falling off the bone, and the Banana Pudding which is one of the best desserts I have had in a long time. Lunch - An Amboy B. Dessert - An Amboy A!

I'm not a fan of chain food.......... but Famous Dave's is the exception. And they've nailed it! Its like everything they serve has been scientifically tested to deliver the most pleasurable sensory response. Everything on the menu is fantastic and has the perfect amount of salt, fat, and or sugar.

Service was very slow. Can I blame that on being short staffed from the pandemic? Maybe. The staff was friendly and professional. Just slow. Food was good. They did start us out with free chips. They even brought us a 2nd serving of them when we asked. We had still been waiting for our meals.
