Terrible place. One of my dogs ran off while I was out of town and my disabled mother was caring for them. She ended up at the shelter and they marked her down as abandoned and tried charge me $120 for the time she was there even though they didn't bother to call me more than a single time to let me know she was there (I never got that phone call), she had her tags on, and I called and gave them my information directly last week when she was first missing. This organization is run by crooks who are using pet owners to get money!

The best thing to do is to call and ask.
We take owner surrenders by appointment only. You can call 540-635-4734 to make an appointment.
Hi! I don't believe the shelter provides pet health services to animals that were not adopted out of their facility. I would recommend contacting a local veterinarian.
Contact Sur Wagoner at 635-4734. She is in charge of community outreach and volunteer services
Wrong Humane society. We are in Virginia.
We do,usually 2 a year. Check our website or Facebook page for dates and times. Petco also has a clinic once a month.
That sounds like a conspiracy theory. They are rude to customers though, so i guess it's not completely impossible.
Just be aware that I took my cat in to be spayed and they allowed him to escape from his carrier and take off into the woods behind the shelter.. They never attempted to find him. My husband and I had to stand outside, by the corral, and call our cat until he finally came out of the woods and we were able to bring him home. Not sure this shelter is the best place to take a loved pet..
Yes it is they do any and everything they can 2 rehome every animal that comes there
Yes they go through an organization in a vet in Harrisonburg to help get animals fixed it's a little cheaper than having to go to the vet
It's the 18th 10 til 2
I would contact your veterinarian for an appointment. They can then tell you or point you in the right direction.
They are open everyday but Wednesday. Appointment only on Wednesdays. They deep clean the whole building and the vet comes some Wednesday's so it's easier to be closed cause it would be complete chaos.
