Great place to walk with family

This place has so much going on for the surrounding community. KPW soccer is held next to the lake, near the basketball courts and playground. The trail is well maintained and perfect for walking dogs as the path is soft and not too rocky for paws. People can fish around the lake, and there are often turtles, great blue herons, and other wildlife to observe. There is a group that takes care of the plants and plants native species near the trail, and dog bags and trash cans are ample to keep the place clean.

This is my favorite neighborhood nature trail. The trail that loops around the lake is just shy of 2-miles (1.9-miles). The trail for the most part is hard packed gravel and includes some hills /steps. It can get a little muddy but it includes lots of shade. There is some exercise equipment along the trail. The trail is not stroller friendly and bikes are not permitted. Parking can be a little difficult to find but there are several side trails that lead to the main trail. Just be sure to park legally if parking along one of the residential side streets. The park includes soccer, baseball, basketball, and a playground. There are plenty of spots for fishing. There is also a launch area for kayaks.

Yes, on both sides of the lake there are Don's John's in the parking lots
Probably. There are no overt warnings against, and no apparent pollution sources.
It is if you use worms and fish the shaded areas.
There are 2 playgrounds with swings
A bit shy of 2 miles. But my tracker usually says 2.2 miles by the time I finish. (Side trails included)
