This place is fantastic. Good concession combos, comfortable stadium seating, seats are a bit older but in good condition. The staff is amazing. Overall this is my go-to theater over the big chains.

Years ago this is where we'd go to avoid the crowds in the more populated areas. I was not impressed with the current state of this theater. We went to see the new Top Gun and first you couldn't buy tickets in a ticket line. We had to wait 15 minutes in the food line to buy tickets. Obviously they hope after the long line you might as well buy food. Then the seats are assigned. This wouldn't be an issue but the row IDs are hard to see and there were a number of people wandering around with their phones on flashlight trying to find their seats. Then, half way through the movie the audio was frequently skipping, the video would pause and three time it outright stopped with a black screen. At one point they said it would be 5 minutes to fix. Maybe offer a discount at the concession stand? Nope. Then after they "fixed" the problem it continued. They ruined the new Top Gun movie and, ultimately, they should have been offering s refund as people exited. No such luck. This experience does not make me want to go to this theater ever again.

We like to support the folks in Dallas when we can but many more of our movie dollars go to Independence. It's clean, the service is great and they always offer a good selection of films to watch. Also, you can buy beer.
