It is true that the phone is rarely ever answered. I called for months before a female answered. I was ready to send of my passport but now I am worried about sending it to this location.

I wish I could give 0 stars for this embassy in Washington DC. Good luck to you if you submitted your application here or if u are thinking of submitting your application here... DONT DO IT. If u have a family member in Jamaica... u are 100% lucky. I waited 3 years to get my passport and until this day I still haven't gotten my passport from the Washington DC Jamaican Embassy.... But guess what, I'm lucky to have my nice nice cousin in JAMAICA to finish the process for me, plus I had to pay $150 US more to complete the process... Plus u know I have to make sure my nice nice cousin alright. So for this whole process, I probably spent close to $500 US. My case was a little special tho... But any way DONT DO IT. U WILL NEVER GET UR PASSPORT From This Jamaican Embassy!!!!!!!!!!

They never answer the phone. Passport takes 11+ months to get. Could've flown to Jamaica to renew my passport if it was going to take this long

Yes you do! Your Jamaican passport verifies your Jamaican citizenship. Your permanent resident card verifies status as a legal immigrant to USCIS.

Yes you can. Just call the embassy and explain your situation . They will give instructions on what to do.

I would try calling first, if not drive down to the office about 9:00 a.m. That's what my daughter and I did.
4weeks
You can go on the u.s. immigration website and download most of their application forms you can even fill it out before you print it
It depends on how much information you have on hand at the Embassy, regarding your brother. Go prepared.
Where did you get your pictures?. Right now I'm in the same position.
Yes. On the back of 1 of the photo
I think you need a recent covid 19 negative test result.
The office is open with limited hours. I believe they close at 3pm. You can mail in your application or drop it off in the mailbox slot.
Contact the Jamaican embassy and they can renew it for you
Yes you definitely need a visa
Birth certificate, passport for. You can frd ex the papers or go to DC yourself. Call them about what else you may need.
I don't know what the legal protocol is concerning sponsors and beneficiaries. That's a question for USCIS. Go to their website and see what the law says.
I think you can but I'm not sure what the protocols and requirements are. Contact the Jamaican Embassy for assistance.
I don't know. Call the Embassy between 9am and 4 pm ask the receptionist.
Yes you can
U got u id the church send for it with no cost are Google birth certificate little some some to get it
No necessity, but if your trip is going beyond September, then it's best you get it renewed. Safe trip.
Call the embassy and ask what steps are involved in that process.
The timeframe is 4 to 6 weeks although the staff at the embassy have mentioned that its closer to 4 weeks.
The Embassy of Jamaica is a representation of the Jamaican Government. It renders services on behalf of its citizens living in the US (e.g. passport renewal) as well as performs diplomatic functions for the Jamaican political administration in areas as Trade and Tourism. Please visit their website at embassyofjamaica.gov. It is NOT a US consulate That's the job of the USCIS. Go see them at www.uscis.gov. And for the record, NO ONE holds a US green card for 32 years! NO ONE!
Jamaica does not issue green cards. Please speak to the relevant authorities in the United States.
