I’ve been trying to reach a caseworker for 2 months now. Calling every 2 days and never getting through. I’ve left at least 5 messages for a supervisor callback and nothing. This place is a joke. Worst customer service ever and they blame it on not having enough staff/covid. I’m so sick of hearing that line already. Pay people properly and they won’t have a problem showing up to work it’s that simple! Do better. People need help and it shouldn’t be this hard to get it.

They came right out to the car after only a few minutes. Great Service!!!

Are you currently going through difficult times?Cant afford to live? Need food and assistance with bills?? If you answered yes then I recommend you flee across the border and start trafficking drugs. It would be much easier than getting any assistance through the SCHS. I would try to reach out for assistance for my family and went through the process online and waited to here back from them. Three days after I applied I received a letter in the mail saying I would be notified of an appointment. Then nothing. Three weeks later my partner received a notice that she had missed an appointment from Sandoval County Human Services. Thankfully she is not working at this time as just trying to just call the SCHS is a full time job. Trying to get through the phone system is a nightmare and than when you finally get through the estimate wait time climbs from 20 to 35 minutes over the course of the next 30 minutes. I think this is a an illusion to just keep you on the line for close to an hour. She called 3 times and waited 30+ minutes and had to hang up as she ran out of time and had to take care of our newborn. Finally she got through after a week of trying. She waited 40 minutes and finally got a human on the phone. It was an absolute miracle. My partner explained that I applied for assistance but they were sending her letters in the mail and we were confused on if they were trying to talk to her about her benefits or to me as I had just applied. The agent said there was nothing on my partners account and The agent said she would have to transfer her. The message stated there would be an 83 minute wait. We can only expect that wait to be two hours long. Guess we will have to try reapplying again as now it has almost been a month since I applied. In the meantime I was debating getting a side hustle instead, maybe panhandling? They make an average of $100 in 2 hours. Or maybe being so close to the border I could find someone down south that can take care of my family better than services I have been paying through taxes for the last 20 years. I hope others were able to find help in the past but as for me looks like I need to seek help elsewhere. Any ideas were I can get legal income support to help through tough times? Cause anything has to be better than the heartache the Sandoval County Human Services. PS. I was really expecting to be denied anyways. As I am currently working but my income doesn't support our families bills and needs. With our budget as tight as we can be and only covering the necessities, I am still unable to cover everything with my income. We are stuck in the world of "you make to much for help but not enough to survive." I hope others have better luck.

Your best option to go into the office and request a face to face interview. Lobby hours vary so your best time to go in is between 8am & 9:30am
