Today was my first time taking my pet to West Chester Cat Hospital. I will never take my cat anywhere else. The doctors and the staff could not have been more professional. When I called to make the appointment Donna could not have been more helpful. She clearly outlined their pricing and set up the appointment. Before calling West Chester Cat Hospital I called several other practices, left a message, and never got a call back. The last time I was at another vet I got a bill for over $2,300. just for examining my pet. If they kept him overnight, they told me the bill would have been over $5,000. The best part was that the bill included almost $500. for X-rays which they said they had nobody on staff who could read them but if I wanted, they could call in a specialist. I felt like I had been raked over the coals. Do not take your cat anywhere else, West Chester Cat Hospital is the best vet in the area.

I have brought my cats here for the last six years but no longer, the receptionist Donna needs to find a other line of work. Donna is cold and impersonal, her attention to detail of lack there of is astounding.I might also add they are playing Covid games.West Chester is blue so I'm not surprised. It's a shame, they were nice people prior to them going WOKE.

It's honestly shocking to me how positive the reviews are for this business. I brought my 1 year old cat here for the first time ever this week, and the last. The admin was cold and uninviting. On her personal phone 90% of the time I was there. The vet, Dr. Connor, was a nightmare of an experience. My cat was nervous and hesitant, and he did nothing but stress him out, pile towels on top of him, and pin him down against the table while he was terrified. Made ZERO attempt to go slow, earn his trust or be calm around my cat. He was in the room for maybe 10 mins, left and answered zero questions I had. I came with a few because I wanted a doctors insight. He couldn't be bothered. Spent $100 for 10 pills for my cat's pain and 8-10 minutes of their time. Absolute waste of time, traumatic experience for my cat (who had no problem at the vet 8 months ago in another state) and a waste of money. Never again.

I took my cat in because she had an irritated eye. They were great with her. They checked her ears, trimmed her nails, some basic grooming and combed her, updated vaccinations, and took care of her eye. The appointment took about an hour, it was reasonably priced and they gave her a new toy for being a new patient. Dr Conner and Martine were personable, gentle and kind with my Bella girl.

Questions & Answers

Do you provide jaw reconstruction/wiring for cats?

Good day, thank you for your question. Generally we refer these cases to a veterinary dentist. Normally, they need more advanced care, but we would be happy to do a consult if you are unsure of needing to go to that step. There are many dental specialists around, including the veterinary dental specialists in Chadds Ford. We refer here for more advanced cases. We do a lot of feline dentistry, but I am concerned your kitty may need more. Please let us know if we can help!

Good day, a typical physical exam is $62.00. From there, it depends on the patient's needs...if needs to have a fecal test performed to look for parasites or if needs to have a medication, etc. Please call or go to our website to make and appointment, and we can make sure your cat is healthy. Thanks.
