They would not allow us to go upstairs. The drinks were watered down and over priced!!!!!

On Sunday, October 1, I went to a recital and the organizers made us wait despite the cold and the rain. The security of the place very friendly. The unforgettable recital.

First drink i received was only 11$ and it was very good. The second drink was a TERRIBLE drink (mostly sweet and sour) and was 21$!!! That's ridiculous and very overpriced for ONE drink. A girl behind me at the venue who heard me complaining said she ordered a gin and tonic and had the same price!! There is no reason a sidecar nor a gin and tonic should cost 21$ per drink! While i loved the band i went to see i will NEVER order drinks here again as they are highly overpriced after the first one apparently. Terrible.

Great seats

You buy them online or you can buy them at the door. The cost of the depends on the performer. More established performers can range about $60 to $80 and lesser can range between $15-$50
Yes. After dancing in that big crowd of ppl downstairs, you can just simply go up and get yourself a nice seat and relax. Or get a VIP TABLE

Courtyard Marriott & Hyatt is good 2..Tina is right
There isn't much street parking. They confirm this on their website but it depends on how busy they are
Not sure. You should be able to give your name at the door
Hi! What show did you purchase tickets for? Most of our shows are standing-room only. Therefore, GA means you'll be standing. If you purchase VIP tickets, then a seat is guaranteed. If it's a seated show, GA means seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. VIP tickets for that means there's a designated seat for you. I've attached the show calendar so you can see more information for every show. Hope this helps! http://thehowardtheatre.com/calendar/
Hi! Unfortunately, no.
The purchasing agent {eventbrite;ticketmaster or any numerous other ticketing companies} usually has posted the conditions for refunds........ Check to see if the event is refundable
Think they may have some snacks but not real dinner.
They have $20 valley parking
Yep it was fine
Truth! ...Exactly what Klinny said...
I went to Pride and I had to pay for the table when I got there
GA is on the bottom level which is more open. I've seen it be seated or standing - depends on the type of event. VIP is seated - either a few steps up from the bottom level, or on the 2nd level.
Yes there is, in fact I believe there is an elevator to the top floor
The Howard Theater opened on August 22, 1910, in a primarily African-American area of Washington, near Howard University which lead to the theater’s name. They are not affiliated.
Florida Avenue Grill and Ted's Bulletin are really good and not too far away.
