The worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacy.. or any customer based store. My wife and 1 year old were sick. The doctor called out Zofran for my son because he wasn't able to hold down food or water. I called the pharmacy and asked to check on his medicine. The person that answered said it was ready. I clarified what he said because I didn't want to load up my sick family and have to wait around. They had to come with me because, understandably, my son wanted us both around. It was a horrible 10 min drive. I left my wife and son in the car hoping it would be a quick in and out. The line took a little while to get through, but it wasn't terrible. When I arrived at the front I told them my son's name. The cashier went to the pharmacist, said a few words, then returned to me. He told me that they were out of that medicine. I said I just called and they said it was ready. He went and talked to her again and so she decided to try to fill the prescription. I saw her filling the prescription and she showed the other pharmacist she didn't have enough. She then preceded to fill another 10 or so prescription which took around 10 minutes... meanwhile my ill family was still in the car... before she finally came over to inform me she didn't have enough for even 1 dose. I said they were ridiculous. I said I called to make sure that the prescription was ready because I had to bring my sick family. She just stared at me... and the other pharmacist walked over and said that they said it was pending. I said that is not what they said. I explained my situation with my family and said I clarified with the person I was talking to that it was ready. The only response was we wouldn't have said that. I didn't get 1 apology just accusations that I did something wrong. They sent the prescription to another publix which was a 30 min. Drive from my house. This drive was not fun for the reasons stated above. It also took another 2 hours before it was filled and my son threw up twice more during that time because we were trying to hydrate him. When we got home I called to speak with a manager to complain. I was put on the phone with the same pharmacist that couldn't walk 7 feet to tell me that they didn't have enough medicine as soon as she found out. That's what an empathetic person would do. I explained my situation again and complained about how they handled things. I said that they made things infinitely worse for me by not having any medicine and wasting my time by not telling me immediately that they didn't have any. Again no apology she just said that "maybe" the new guy had misinformed me. In conclusion beware of getting anything from these unempathetic unapologetic people. I wouldn't trust them to take care of my cactus. p.s. for those that have empathy. My son and wife are now healthy.
