I stayed for two nights, two years ago, with my 8 and 6 year olds in a beach front cabin in the off season. It was beautiful and serene. It was the relaxation and quasi camping experience that was perfect for the cold season. There were more people there than I expected and they were delightful and personable. At that time of year there weren’t many activities so I will post photos to tell the tale. I am staying there this summer soon and will post again for the summer review. If nothing else I do know the facility has been upgraded and renovated extensively in a financially challenging time. In my book they deserve support.

This place is awesome!! Everything about it is top notch. We'll worth the cost. Private beach that is very clean and much larger than I was expecting. Private shower rooms. Level sites. You can have a wooded or more open campsite. Loved it!!

*Karen* works the guard station. She's pretty rude about making sure you understand the rules. A lot more permanent residents then I expected. The beach is very small. A nice place but honestly not as wonderful as a lot of people claim. For the price I felt like it would've been a more welcoming resort. That's unfortunately what you get with privately owned campgrounds sometimes *Some* dogs are allowed to play fetch at beach and some not. *Some* can run loose while others aren't allowed. Ppl normally get yelled at for some things while other things are let to slide by. It may be a nice campground but employees attitudes definitely will make ppl not come back. Have rules and stick to them or have none at all! Loud music and groups after quiet hr.

This is more of a vacation spot for families with RVs for spring break and summer stuff. There is almost always a family riding around bumping music and no one follows the rules on quiet hours. The upside is all the activities are really fun! Mini golf, fitness room, pool and shuffle boards, and some public activities on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The beach access is always cold, and not deep at all. It's limited space outwards towards the water, so that's the 4 stars.

Bugs are minimal during that time of year. Now in the summer better bring your mosquito tents!
There aren't really any tent type sites. It's mostly gravel rv sites or cottages.
