When I was in the cabinet business I got lots of calls for repairs and refinishing of furniture. I had good rapport with the folks at Joseph’s back then. And as recently as last year they re-covered several chairs for me personally. The company has since changed hands and it has gone downhill…way down hill. Customer service is absent, employees are rude, and estimates are extremely loose, and seemingly randomly priced. I can’t recommend Joseph’s anymore.

This is not the business it used to be. They did a good job recently of repairing broken edging on an old wooden table of mine. But I also had them reupholster a den chair. The upholstery was done well, but i took in a chair with a back cushion that was attached to the back of the chair, and the chair came back with a very, very puffy, uncomfortable, and totally unattached cushion. No explanation, just "oops." I wasn't about to wait another three months for the problem to be fixed. For a separate fee, they redid the cushion so it wasn't as puffy. The person doing the job didn't know the cushion had been attached when it came into the store? Inexcusable. I tried to talk to the owner but he/she did not return my messages.
