This place feels like a cozy hole in the wall with a great atmosphere! This place is owned by a lovely couple who make their sushi fresh in front of you. The restaurant is very small, only sitting about six people, but it was absolutely delicious! We would definitely visit again!

Such fresh, delicious, proper sushi. If you like simple traditional style go here. There are a few other non sushi options that are good too. Bulgogi. If you rather food by the pound save this treasure for someone else

Really enjoyed this place. There were maybe 3 or 4 people in front of us and we had our orders within 20 minutes. My friend and I split a large sushi and a small sushi with meso soup and were both satisfied with the portion and quality. There was only 2 people working with a nice lady handling orders and the gentleman preparing food so please don't act like the 2 young women who were horribly offended that they didn't have their food inside of 10 minutes

Great experience at Umi Sushi! As other reviewers have shared, the owners are very nice. They opened this small restaurant after running a restaurant in Hampton, VA for 20 years. The sushi was delicious, drink selection was great, and the location in Yorktown is perfect. There is limited seating inside the restaurant itself (probably 8 chairs at the bar) and pretty great outdoor seating right behind the restaurant. Pricing was reasonable. And, we would return.
