I always love coming here. Always quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. If you're looking to escape the chaos and rowdiness that VA Beach commonly brings, go with Jamestown. There's a parking fee unless you're a resident. There's a small snack shop they have there, but that's about it. There are some nice restaurants within 10 minutes of the beach though

Quiet beach with small waves that come in from the river. Bathrooms and a little snack stand that was not open. Assuming it closed on Labor Day. Otherwise great little place to go and picnic or just relax by the water.

We went for my husband's birthday per his request and it was worth it. It was very relaxing and not crowded like other places. I even went in the water which I NEVER do! The water was so warm. The park and bathrooms were clean.

Our dog had a blast! Friendly and welcoming staffs from the parking booth lady to the concession folks. Clean restrooms and ample picnic tables. Definitely be coming back next year. Too bad we didn't find this gem earlier this summer.

Yes you can with a freshwater fishing license. There is an area designated for fishing.
There is a parking fee $4 on weekdays, $7 on weekends unless you are a local resident then it is free. If you are local you need proof of residency and they give you a sticker for your vehicle.
Williamsburg side, just before the ferry to Surrey
They are open!
I haven't snorkeled here.. but yes it's safe for kids we enjoy our time everytime we go.
I had the same problem and almost ended up on the ferry, the best thing to do with your GPS is to type in Jamestown Beach Event Park and not Jamestown Beach and that will solve the problem.
Yes you can.
