Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Doswell (Kings Dominion), VA

Positive: The location was the best part of this hotel. The housekeeper was very helpful. We needed the bed done everyday since my son has skin issues and she was accommodating to that need. Negative: The staff was basic. No one (except the hskeepr) was attentive. When I had the request for extra services the front desk person made me hunt down the housekeeper and ask her for assistance. Breakfast was terrible. The pool area was gross, couldn't use.

Halloween Nightmares

Me and my family booked this hotel because it looked amazing from outside upon checking in the bald guy working told us he canceled are reservation due to the credit card being declined minded if we had about a 4 hour ride. They didn’t call or tell us nothing into we showed up. He said your lucky we still have rooms if not we couldn’t help u due to your room being canceled. He was very rude and has poor customer service skills. However the card that supposedly declined I used then same one at the hotel and it worked fine so not sure the problem. Now we are checked in it was around 10PM so we went to bed to get up early to head to kings dominion. Now it’s day light and we can see the room. House keeping doesn’t do there job well here are a few pics that where taking. Me and my wife went to the front desk to show them pics even had front desk Clark come see the room for herself and she said wow. So the pictures are and where 100% real. The lady that helped us was super nice and even changed are rooms to a suite. But even that room was dirty again here are pics. It wasn’t her fault with that being said she did help us and partly fixed the issue with a $50 refund after spending $200 a night there. We was there 2 days.Now would u want your family sleeping in a bed with hair and food on the bed?

Nice stay. Plenty of pillows. Room had some unusual items left under bed.. I can tell the bed was not moved for vacuuming. Peanuts, socks and other things left there by others. Bed and sheets were clean . Coffee was good.

Hammocks to Coasters

Stayed two nights this week. Check in was okay. Not exactly friendly but not rude neither. Room was clean and comfortable enough but extremely outdated compared to other Country Inn & Suites I’ve stayed in. WiFi was greatly lacking. Pool was ice cold. On the positive, pretty good breakfast and the breakfast attendant was really friendly and made great conversation. I’m still on the fence as to if I’d recommend or stay again. It is great location to Kings Dominion, I’ll give it that. Check out our video version on my channel on YouTube.
