My kid had fun, and that's all that really matters, but I thought it was overpriced. I was also pretty peeved that every vendor was sold out of water by 12 pm. We had to purchase $7 iced teas and lemonades. Really needed water in the heat.

Me and my family went on a SUNDAY early. It was alot of walking and alot of rides, which I appreciated because my nephew was with us. The food was to be expected and there weren't alot of animals this time around. The fair does change up from year to year but still gives u that family, community feeling and overall my family and I enjoyed it.

It was packed! People to the left, right, center, and back but that's what happens when the fair is back. The food was good, the atmosphere was alive. So take your family and just HAVE FUN! MAKE MEMORIES, ENJOY THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS. ITS THE STATE FAIR OF VIRGINIA!!

Only thing that could have been better is thinking about handicap individuals. 1) There should be a shuttle to help the disable to getting from the vehicles out in the parking lot to the mobility scooters. The distance is way too far away for anyone that's having mobility issues. This needs to be rethought of. 2) also, I was in there with electric wheelchair and my sister had a mobility scooter. One issue we came into a lot was the wires for the rides. Blocking our way around The fair grounds. They need to be covered over better and a lot smoother to be able to get over. It was very difficult to get over them with any mobility devices. 3) it would have been nice if there was rides the disabled would be able to go on. Just saying...fun for all. would be great!
