Mr. Jack Tuckner is an exceptional lawyer. I am grateful for his experience and skill in dealing with an extremely sensitive and charged subject. His ability to truly understand the details of the situation and then take real action is powerful. I highly recommend Mr. Tuckner.

Mr William Sipsor: is a very professional and devoted lawyer to his clients. He gave me the confidence of being I good hands the first day he called me and said he would take my case. Deborah the office secretary is a very pleasant and caring person. She listened to my case 1st and passed my information on to Mr Sipsor. I will strongly recommend my friends if they have a discrimination matter at work to obtain their services. Thank you again Mr Sipsor and Deborah Reill.

Yes, as of February 8, 2020, ALL New York employers are now covered by the NY State Human Rights Law (NYSHRL) regardless of employer size. Even if you're the only employee in the company, you are protected by the NYSHRL if you feel that you're being discriminated against for a protected status and working in a hostile work environment.
The link to the NY State Division of Human Rights' complaint form and instructions for filing is below. This is the state administrative agency that enforces employment discrimination claims under the state's Human Rights Law, but if you worked in NYC, there's also the NYC Commission on Human Rights, the city administrative agency that enforces the city's Human Rights Law, and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that handles all employment discrimination complaints under federal law. It's best to consult with a qualified employment lawyer before committing to filing a complaint in one particular agency, as where you file and when can affect your future legal leverage and options. https://dhr.ny.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/nysdhr-employment-complaint-form.pdf
Yes, independent contractors are now covered and protected by the NY State and the NY City Human Rights Laws that cover workplace discrimination, although federal anti-discrimination laws still only apply to traditional "W-2" employees.
