March 2022. This place needs some serious management training. Very unorganized. One employee tells you one thing and another tells you something else. The supervisor or manager uses no discretion in her decisions. Some violations are definitely worse than others and that needs to be considered before you send someone back to prison. Not only the inmate is affected but the work place and family too. My brother finally got to have a home visit after 12 years. Just because we walked across the street to see the mobile home where he was going to live, that was a violation and back to prison you go. This is where the discretion should come into play. Ban home visits for a month, don't send someone back to prison. I will be calling the assistant warden tomorrow. Retraining, if there was any at all, is needed.

There is a man named Mr Jones who works there and is a horrible human being. He is verbally abusive to inmates and constantly picks at them his whole shift. If you ask him a question he instantly is annoyed by it.. he is being reported to Lancaster and Tallahassee for his un professional behavior. He needs to be removed from the facility. The workers can not stand working with him and he is truly in misery working there. He is no type of director nor boss but tries to bully staff and inmates. It is being documented and it will be a better facility when he is gone.

It can be anywhere in Alachua county and the inmate can ride with their employer too. For example,I work for a roofing company so I work all over Alachua county but I can also go out of county upon approval. Hope this helps.
