Travel For Life

Feb 25, 2022

I completely agree with the other reviews about the lack of professionalism, incredible amount of time wasted and desire to not go back. After THEY rescheduled my appointment, I showed up 20mins before my new time only to find a locked old home. 20mins after my scheduled start time I was still not brought into the treatment room and told that it was my lack of filling out the intrusive paperwork and credit card authorizations (I came with a Groupon and didn't want to give the authorization to charge my card!) that was causing the delay. The repeated definition of "it's a service dog" when I asked about the cute dog, along with the cold reception, made me distrust the whole office. I left without my treatment.

100% with people giving no stars. They canceled and rescheduled on me 4 times. I did finally do the Botox. (I already paid for it) My appointment was at 3 :15. I didn’t leave till 5:45. I was asked so many nonessential questions. The doctor was so rude to her one staff member. And often interrupted my appointment to have her help. They are so disorganized. They still have Christmas decorations out. Just got my free facial canceled because her staff member that the dr was rude to quit. Not a business you want to get involved with.

I purchased a Groupon and made my appt. Day before they called to see if I had received paperwork (not yet), and then another call to reschedule. I moved my meetings around and went in at the earlier time, only to arrive 15 min early, like I was instructed, to be told I needed to go outside and wait in my car until someone called me, they were taking a break. My 1 pm appt turned into doing even more paperwork when they brought me in at 1:20, then more paperwork, and then a nurse-in-training who did an assessment on me (far more complicated than I ever had for Botox before) and I was having allergy issues due to the office is in a very old, restored house. When I finally got into the treatment room, there was even more of a full physical assessment as the doctor explained she treats the whole patient. Nobody mentioned a full medical review, discussion about my other conditions or issues or anything. The doctor was very nice, but for just getting 20 units of Botox, it should have been in and out. by 2:15, I was finally getting my injections, after an upsell attempt which I didn't want and have time for. I left after 2:30, and was late getting back to work. I also had my entire face of makeup removed (never has happened before, only the areas where I am getting injections), and was told that they always do a comprehensive workup beforehand. Nobody mentioned I'd need way more than an hour, not to wear ANY makeup at all, or I would have scheduled appropriately. While I am sure the Botox was done well, I just don't have a lot of time to do a full health workup for filler. They definitely need to work on their office skills in handling patients.

I had an appointment for fillers and they have called and canceled 4 times. Today I was on my way to the appointment and I live an hour away and they called me at 1:15 for a 2 o'clock appointment to tell me that they had to reschedule. Extremely frustrating and I am sure I am not the first person this has happened to.

How do I know when it’s time to get a colonoscopy?

Helen York | Oct 13, 2019
Institute of Health & Wellness | Oct 13, 2019

Dear Helen, some symptoms that can tell you whether you need a colonoscopy to detect cancerous polyps are blood in the stools, fatigue (caused by losing blood over time) and diarrhea (rare). However, many patients don’t experience any symptoms, which is why it’s a good idea to get a colonoscopy if you have a family history of colon cancer. People over age 50 should also consider having a colonoscopy regularly.

Today I took some tests and the general doctor told me I might have leaky gut, but I didn’t quite understand what it was. He also said I could get treated here. Can you explain to me what that is and if you do treat it?

Megan Wallace | Oct 13, 2019
Institute of Health & Wellness | Oct 13, 2019

Greetings! The gut is naturally permeable to very small molecules in order to absorb these vital nutrients. In fact, regulating intestinal permeability is one of the basic functions of the cells that line the intestinal wall. When your gut is leaky, things like toxins, microbes, undigested food particles, and more can escape from your intestines and travel throughout your body via your bloodstream. Your immune system marks these "foreign invaders" as pathogens and attacks them. How to heal a leaky gut? First of all remove the bad. The goal is to get rid of things that negatively affect the environment of the GI tract, such as inflammatory and toxic foods, and intestinal infections. Get rid of processed foods, recreational drugs, cigarettes and coffee. Contact us to help you and give you more information of the treatment
