I checked in about 3:45 pm, put in a room that kind of looked like an after thought, and pretty much ignored for about 3 hours. Had an ok ham sandwich for dinner, in my room. Then a nurse came in for sort of an exam and pulled my underwear down to "check for bedsores.". Very uncomfortable. Several interuptions during the night. Morning spent waiting for breakfast. Also saw a cockroach on my way to the bathroom. Breakfast came about 8 AM, which consisted of French toast that was too hard for even their semblance of a knife could cut through, with full sugar syrup (I am diabetic). And brought orange juice to drink (oj has a lot of sugar). Physical therapist came mid-morning, followed me into the bathroom, even though I'd been doing it alone for several hours. (The toilet wasn't even fastened to the floor.). Then asked me to do squats. I told her no. But she kept trying to convince me to try. My previous falls were due to me trying to get up for a semi-squat. I ordered out for lunch, because they were serving fish for lunch. I don't like seafood. They line the patients up in the hall around the nurses station and leave them there. Lots of screaming and people talking to themselves. I was truly terrified the full 24 hours I spent there.
