It was a bit hard to find the office as they had relocated their offices to the 6th floor. Parking around the area are pay meters or you can pay at the ramp for a day park not too far from here. We manage to find it 15mins prior to closing time. The staff was really helpful and patient with us. We got all our questions answered and really happy that we stop in. Thank you, keep up the good work that you and the team provide for us, vistor!

We were told by many people placed in the city to help tourist to “visit the information center”… I checked on line and it says “open until 6:00 pm”… after walking with children and grandparents we located it and it’s closed. Update the site, this was very very annoying and a waste of time.

Hello I am travelling from Canada and will be visiting Pheonix, I would like to go to Peurto Penasco for a few days and I am travelling with my husband. I am wanting to know if this drive is safe or will I be car jacked and robbed on the way?

My opinion is that it is not a safe drive once you cross the United States border. There are risks to driving in Mexico. Most rental car companies will not even permit you to take their vehicles across the border into Mexico. Also, if you use a personal vehicle you have to obtain special insurance for Mexico. Some people go and don't have any trouble but, there are others that have had something happen from car jacking, illegal drug smuggler interfernace, auto theft and other types of problems. The border towns especially have a lot of shady people there. If you choose to visit Mexico you have to enter at your own risk.. make sure you travel only during daylight hours, don't stop for any hitch hikers or strangers along the highway. It might feel like a little more safe environment once you arrive to the tourist area of the coast but still remember you are in Mexico. Make sure not to venture off into unknown isolated areas unless you are in a massive group. There is safety in numbers.
