Orthobiologics Associates | Dec 16, 2021

Cellular therapy relies on your own regenerative healing to occur. Everyone is different and the healing process may take several months before results are seen. While many patients report that they begin to experience results within weeks, most of the healing will take place over time. Stem cells have been shown to continue to provide healing for up to one year (12 months). No accurate guarantee can be made regarding how soon results can be felt. There are variables including the diagnosis and the severity of the problem.

PRP, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma, is used to treat acute and chronic soft tissue injuries. Platelets are part of the blood that circulates around the body ready to help with blood clotting should you have a cut, broken bone, an injury that bleeds internally, or any other type of injury. Besides containing clotting factors, the platelets release growth factors that help start the healing sequence. With a concentrated number of platelets, larger quantities of these growth factors are released to simulate a natural healing response.
