Def the best student housing in Tuscaloosa. Staff is always attentive and the apartments are nice. Love being walkable to downtown and to the stadium on game days.

Best place I’ve ever lived. The most spacious apartment. Great features. Only ever had one problem here and Caleb helped me asap. Such friendly staff, very quiet apartments. Will miss it so much!! Definitely live here if you get the chance especially on university

I moved my son this weekend and thought I would share some feedback on the experience. I was required to complete a checklist prior to taking possession of the unit. It would have been helpful if the District Lofts had an internal checklist to ensure the rental was ready prior to the move in date. • Apartment was still dirty with garbage items (Toilet paper roll, Q-tips, allergy pills,) Cabinets in Kitchen and Bathroom had remaining items. Ceiling fan had dirt caked on the blades. Closet inside door was off track, I was able to repair this (seems to be functioning properly). • Overall the apartment was still dirty and had not been cleaned thoroughly and\or properly. • It was apparent no one from Management conducted a walk through of the unit to inspect the cleanliness and to notate and communicate that there was no TV on premise. • I inquired about the TV within 1 hour of the office opening. I had to follow up to see status and was told she had not had a chance to look after she found out it might be in the retail space next door. After lunch she messaged that it was not there and needed to be ordered. We inquired about ETA and were told 3-4 weeks. This is unacceptable as there was plenty of lead time to ensure all items in contract were secured and present on the first day of rent. • No written instructions given as to what needed to be done to obtain Network router, Cable box and most importantly splitter to connect. We asked and were told to go to the Xfinity store. It would have been nice to have someone or a list of equipment to expect and how to hook up based on the unit that was leased. (Need of splitter, that a router and separate cable box is used versus a combination router\cable box). Xfinity did not initially give me a splitter so I had to go back and get one. • The Bathroom cabinet door (left) came apart when opened. I will submit a work order today or tomorrow. • The Refrigerator bulb burned out, so I replaced that rather than creating a work order. • I also noticed that the exterior door closest to Greensboro Ave does not automatically lock like the exterior door at the other end near the garbage container. It requires attention. Other than that everything went smoothly. The hallways were clean, there is nice open fresh air when moving through the hallways. My son is in a studio apartment. The bathroom is a nice size and overall a suitable apartment for a 18 year old. I live in Atlanta and only had Saturday and Sunday to complete this move and the above would have made my tasks easier and an overall more efficient experience. If your child is moving from a signficant distance, I would encourage you to call multiple times before your child moves to ensure everything is in place(ask specific about internet, who is responsible for the equipment, what type of epuipment is need for the specific rental unit, etc). These steps should not be necessary. I hope the District Loft will create an internal policy to improve their organization and customer service. I am ranking a three as the place seems nice and the management office is pleasant. The overall process of moving in needs refinement.

I have lived at the District lofts for going on 7 years- and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else! I have never had any issues, and all maintenance requests were filled promptly. They are always going out of their way for the tenants, and have the best staff in Tuscaloosa by far. The management is awesome and constantly giving the residents the best facility. It is clean, I have always felt safe and happy! Highly recommend living here for anyone looking!
