Love this recreation park!! They have a soccer field, football field, running track, playground, and swimming pool. It's truly a great place for the children to go My son started ayso at age 4 and we've been coming here regularly and they have done nothing but improve the place over the past 9 years we've been going!! Highly recommended for anyone's children

It's been a bit since I've reviewed, (in fact Google had been reminding me about that), and today we didn't travel too far. Add you can see we're at the city recreation park. The place is roomy and well maintained. There is a nice walking track through a wooded area and along Sweetwater creek. If you've a mind one can take a short detour to the city duck park for a visit. Watch your step though and take some quarters to feed the feathery guys. Taking bread for the ducks & geese is strongly discouraged. There are two baseball fields, basketball courts and tennis courts. There's also the city pool located here. There's a nice football field with a playground on one end, just outside the fence and inside the running track. The items there are made for younger kids and there is another for bigger ones (see picture). There are a couple nice soccer fields there. One is set up for practice and little mud games. There's two concession stands but I didn't visit one. I imagine the prices are about like any other. There is plenty of parking including handicapped. If you're attending a event there is additional parking at a city school and a church, both just a short walk away. The restrooms are about what one would expect. Oh, one other thing; the walking trail is lighted for you late or early walkers. If you live here and haven't been, check it out. If you're visiting come on down, at the very least you'll enjoy the ducks. Be safe out there and I'll see you around, by.

We done fireworks for the town of Sweetwater. This park was so well kept and clean. The policeman and firemen we met were very down to earth and friendly. We enjoyed their festivities and music as well. My toddler loves playing at the playground.

I joined for summer to exercise prior to getting a knee replacement surgery. I am handicapped with a disabled plate. I use a cane. They have handicapped either go up 2 flights of stairs or drive up to a maintenance gate with no designated spots, you also have to wait for someone to see you.Just a drive and grass. No room to turn around due to trees. I do not recommend going if you are disabled. They also have an ADA porta potty by that gate because the restroom also has stairs. It smells...and the kids were using it also. I refused to use it. Very dangerous for disabled folks.

I think you could have a party but i do not think reservations are taken at that park but i do believe that setting up would be ok and that you would not be ran off. To find out for sure i would contact city hall and ask to speak to Jessica Morgan she handles alot of the city events and could tell you for sure what is acceptable
