Worst dept ever. They try to find ways not to serve the public. If they see something in you garbage that isn't in a bag, they will leave it. If a cardboard box protrudes out of the container it must be in a plastic bag. I think a third party trash service would be cheaper and couldn't be any worse than this joke we have as trash service.

I’m not sure if I’m going to the same place that these other people are but I have had a great experience each time I go to the Rockville location. I come from Southern California and there the way your vehicle on the way in and the way out and charge you sometimes hundreds of dollars to dump a truckload of trash. The fact that this is provided as a courtesy from our county is just another incredible value of living here in middle Tennessee. On top of that I have had some very nice conversations with the young lady that runs this facility she has been kind and courteous to visit with each time. The fact that I take the time to get to know people and let them know I’m grateful for what they do often changes the way that they treat me. Especially people working in environments where other people would like to work. Let’s be honest we’re all human and we all just want to be seen and known. I would encourage you to take the time to look people in the eyes Weather they are your banker or your garbage man and watch how different your interaction to go.
