Dr. Speer did the second rotator cuff repair on my right arm. A year and a half later I won the National Senior Games 70+ womens pickleball singles championship. Recovery took almost a year but it was worth it. His staff and the staff at the Duke Raleigh Hospital were absolutely the best. Efficient, prompt, careful, well-organized, attentive to detail. I have referred dozens of pickleball and tennis players to his office. They have all...literally ALL.... been very happy with the care and the outcomes.

I saw Dr Speer today and could not have been more pleased with staff and Dr Speer. Staff very accommodating and Dr Speer was very personable & explained my issue so I could understand … also did not push surgery which is wonderful! Thank you to all. Margaret Cato

Amazing experience with Dr. Spear and his staff. They were very informative, very personal, excellent communication prior and post proceedure. Working with pain for so many years the shoulder replacement was an excellent choice. Now I am pain free with complete motion and strength in just 6 months. Word of advice: Dr Spear is the best, "listen" and adhere to their direction for recovery. Pick a rehabilitation they recommend and follow through. Do exactly what they say even if it makes your daily life a little inconvenient, it is a small price to pay for a new shoulder that could last the rest of your life. Tim Bryant / Benson NC
