Our issue is with finding someone at Amerigas to pay our tank off. We purchased the tank from TruckeeTahoepropane back in 2014 -- I sent multiple emails to every contact email I could find with copies of the contract to Amerigas throughout the last year and never heard back. TruckeeTahoepropane company has been absorbed/purchased/acquired by Amerigas and for some reason, the contracts it had did not transfer over. But they still want to sell us propane because they keep sending flyers and emails?!?! In fact, we just got a delivery for 232 gallons. I've been trying for about a year to pay off the remaining 3 payments (out of 10) so we can sell the house to no avail. But we can pay the invoices for the deliveries with no problems??!! Additionally, all of a sudden, they changed their policies online and last time I tried to log on, they wanted me to accept all kinds of new rules or I could not log in... I stopped using the online account and call them only... extreme obtrusive behavior towards customers. So, here I am venting like everyone else. Everyone I know is leaving Amerigas for another vendor because they are fed up with ineptness. I know this will yield nothing but I will continue to try. Who knows maybe someone at Amerigas is savvy enough with customer service and will finally help?!?!

After using this company for almost 6 years I am not the least but happy. They do dirty business. My first tank came to me rusted and filthy. So bad that my husband had to sand and repaint it as it looked terrible in my yard. When I cancelled my contract it took from January to May for them to pick up my old tank. Also you cannot get a tank of gas in August because it is cheaper at this time. So they wait for the rates to go up to make their money. I was told from my new company that I had a gas leak which I've called for for the last 3-4 years. I could smell it. They denied it each time they came out.

Do not use them. Received a bill for a tank rental fee as I did not use 1000 gallons of propane in the last year. Been with them 16 years and never have had this before. I was told my minimum use was increased from 500 gallons to 1000. So because the winter weather was mild and I didn’t use as much, they bill me for propane I didn’t need? They are more expensive than any other local propane supplier and this is how they treat customers? If I rent their tank that is stored on my property and they want to charge me a rental fee, customers need to be able to charge them a storage fee for that same tank. They do not care at all about their customers. They have also outsourced all customer service overseas.

Would not recommend!! We refilled out propane tank recently, like we have had done for the past 11 years. I called the customer care center to pay for our bill, they stated we owed an additional of $162 because we did not use/fill out propane tank enough this past year. Then threatened to turn us in to a collection agency if we do not pay. How can they charge you for something you did not use?

Are you commercial or residential? Either way you would have to get a new contract and hopefully the price is not as high. Contact amerigas.com
