They left a lot of people high and dry and turned a lot of people away. Other counties were opening additional offices, extended hours and planned for the massive wave of applicants. Niagara county did not and I tried for days to get in line but I'm sure as hell not camping out there. They could have done so much more to make sure all applicants were helped before the Sept 1st deadline.

What a pleasure and a pleasant surprise. I arrived around 11am on a Tuesday to submit my paperwork; there was basically no wait and the service was outstanding. Sheila was extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Really nice to deal with someone who doesn’t act like they hate their job lol. The other lady in there also seemed very nice while dealing with a different person. Thanks!

Take deceased family members permit and death certificate to the permit office and transfer guns to your permit. If you call the pistol permit office they will tell you exactly what you need to do

How much does it cost when you sell some of guns, to have them taken off your permit?

My old friend is very ill, and wants to transfer his pistols from his permit to my permit and possession. Problem is , he is too ill to travel to appointment at permit office. How can we make this happen before his demise ?

Couldn't he just gift them to you and then you bring them in to register in your name? I'm guessing he doesn't need to be there as long as documents are completed, signed, dated. Similar to a will transfer.
