There are hermit crabs, sand πŸ¦€ and a handful of other creatures during low tide. The water is clear, almost. It is absolutely beautiful. There is fishing. A bathroom and outdoor showers. The cost per vehicle is $5 before 8:45am $15 anytime after. Low tide is great for the kids! WATCH OUT when low tide turns to high the currents are strong. Can be seriously dangerous. This is a great spot! Kids give it a πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

We love this place, we walk here so often. Like most good beaches plan your trip around low tide, when first entering the beach if you walk to the left after you round the corner at low tide you will find so many Moonshellβ€˜s. They are magical! If you go to the right keep going until you’re in the salt flats, explore and enjoy the tidal zone. It’s worth it.

Always a fun time at Ferry Beach!!! Lots of space and open area to play. Lots of hermit crabs and crabs to explore and beautiful see thru clean water. Big parking lot with bathrooms nice and close. A nice dock to have a picnic on and jump off the edge into the ocean. Pay to park in the summer 9am-5pm is $15 (cash only).

Are dogs allowed in July?

On leash only & there may be specified hours.--7a to 9a & the same in the pm. Space is also limited due to plovers nesting. I feel the parking fee is steep this time of year if all you want to do is walk the dog. Pay attention to tide charts as high tide there is limited beach. Off season it is a great area for dogs.
