We enjoyed the inn. It’s simple, not extravagant, quiet and comfortable. Our rooms view was disappointing but we loved the Large soaking tub with a lovely packet of soaking salts to enjoy and cozy fireplace. A walk down to the totem pole and along the beach is a must do. Otherwise there wasn’t much to do.

The room was nice, had an amazing view...I mean amazing! The flat iron steak at The Fireside restaurant was out of this world. These things earned them a 4-star rating. They do have some "opportunities" to make their guests feel more comfortable and welcome though. First, put a few complimentary bottles of water in the room instead of making your guests buy them from the front desk staff...Really? Very tacky. Second, let's get a better way to make coffee in your room instead of the kettle and instant coffee packs-ewww!. I mean we are the coffee capital of the U.S.; we should make this a priority for this level of establishment...Just saying. Oh, and since there is literally NOTHING within miles, maybe install a few vending machines for those late night cravings. Lastly, in this era of COVID, it was pretty gross to find the soap next to the sink was not wrapped and had been used by the previous guests...Can you say unsanitary, kids?

Very nice get-away. We visited in the winter and am quite sure it is beautiful in spring and summer! Loved the big tub in the room and walk-out balcony. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was also surprisingly very nice. We recommend the steak!! :)

Great gem located close to some of the most charming spots on the Sound. Extremely dog friendly, comfortable rooms, excellent staff. Plenty of walking areas and a nice little beach. Can't wait to come back!

There is a pool but it is up the road, not in the lodge itself. If you have the time, I would highly recommend exploring the entire resort.
No they do not offer room service. They have you go downstairs to the fireside grill, as THE STAFF WILL NOT bring anything to your room. That's why we stopped going to the inn. The food is slop anyway for the prices they charge (I would expect a professional chief on staff, for the prices they charge their customers) Don't order the cream burlee its always frozen at the bottom and I'm quite certain the kitchen staff uses the microwave more then they do the stoves avalible in the kitchen. Plus I know first hand from more then a few former Ludlow inn employees that they do in fact help themselves to the food storeage in the kitchen!
