It is an interesting house and like so much of FLW's work, ahead of it's time.

Certainly worth the trip whenever you’re in the Chicago area. Impossible not to appreciate the beauty and influence of Frank Lloyd Wright’s own home and studio on the design world. Make sure this is part of your itinerary next time you’re near Lake Michigan! Highly recommend. Helpful staff also.

Fun tour and very informative. Frank Lloyd Wright has done a lot in Arizona as well and it was nice to see the difference. The tour guide was friendly! I'd recommend getting tickets ahead of time, we didn't but only had to wait about an hour and just explored the area.

Yes. It was very hot the day I went, so we only ventured outside for a moment. It was very comfortable inside.
They have lockers you can store jackets and maybe small bags...but nothing for large pieces. Though you may want to call and ask. I know they have lockers because you start the tour right next to them and they offer you one
Admission: $28 adults; $22 students, seniors (65+), military
Yes. It is street parking in a residential neighborhood.
And a $40+ Uber to get there from Chicago. It was worth it - best part of our trip!

I went with a friend in the middle of the day on a Monday and there was only one other person on our tour. That was great to allow more opportunities for questions, etc. We bought at the museum with no issues. If you do wait to buy at the museum and find that you have to wait for the next tour, there are several Frank Lloyd Wright homes within a few block radius - as well as Unity Temple - that you can walk around and see.
You can just show on that day, see if any one available. Only 2hrs for Frank Lloyd's home & Studio. Might as well tour Unity Temple. Save money walking around Oak Park on your own to see Frank Lloyd Wright houses in neighborhoods.
I used Google translate hopefully it makes sense! Wright's home and studio are open for visits from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM every day. Sometimes, the tours are complete, so it is better to buy on the website a few days before. The website is flwright.org. Here are the instructions for your website: From Downtown Chicago (CTA) Take the Green Line L train westbound to the Oak Park stop. Walk under the tracks and head north 5 blocks on Oak Park Avenue to Chicago Avenue. Turn left (west) and walk 3 blocks to Home and Studio. 15-20 minutes on foot. The trains leave approximately every twenty minutes. From downtown Chicago (Metra) Take the Union Pacific West line train at Metra station (Clinton and Madison streets). Exit at the Oak Park stop. Walk north 5 blocks on Marion Street to Chicago Avenue. Turn right and walk one block to Home and Studio. 15-20 minutes on foot.

They say that yes, there was, but it died. Now they have a representative branch.
Most likely, most of the tour is inside the house
Two separate tours: 1) for his own house, 2) for the Oak Park houses he built, but only from outside, no entry.
