This place is AWFUL! Why do they need to go through your income at intake and scrutinize in order to let you know if you have a place to stay? Why do y'all act like every person is lying to get into a shelter? Do you think that any of us WANT to be in a shelter? Get real. You have no compassion for people and their situations. People are desperate to stay off the street right now especially in the housing crisis we have! Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves treating vulnerable families the way that you do! Ashamed! You all certainly do not have a servants heart and y'all are out there supposed to be a saving grace for people when all y'all actually are are judgemental people turning folks away because you ncan.

So the women that work here are DISGUSTING! They accused me of lying about my situation, then when asked to speak to the manager (Ms. Ray was the name she gave me), she was way worse than the employee! I am facing homelessness, and all these women were concerned about was seeing if I was lying or something as if the money was coming out of THEIR pocket!

I like that because it's good Christian standards. You shouldn't be living in a shelter or with a man without being married.
I have gone through the program. It doesn't matter if you're single, gay, in a relationship, as long as you have a child in your custody, you qualify. This is why is called Family Gateway. You must be able to pass a drug test. My life is a thousand times better thanks to them.
Yes they do they do more for you than Dallas life and they tell you in orientation that you have to have a job where you have to go out and look for a job it's just a temporary shelter

Yes...they will keep you there for at least 3 months and help you get back on your feet and if nothing improves by then they will make further arrangements for you...but they will give you everything you need the first day they mive you in and they are sensitive to your needs especially if you are pregnant
Yes you can stay there and no it does not cost anything. You have to call them and go thru the process to get in. Its a really great place and the staff are so amazing. They will give you a room with all the basic stuff you need. And they serve breakfast lunch and dinner.

I took several ppl with children to this location. My friend daughter has 5 kids she had to have proof of ID, SS cards for everyone and birth certificates for ever body. Also if you go at night they will not turn u away with kids. Life Foundation is another place dn town Dallas. You just have to be in line at a certain time to get in its a lil more easy. They will give u a bed with those babies good luck and my prayers are with you.
