Not sure why so many parts of the campground were blocked off? Wondered if the roads were blocked from foot traffic or just vehicles? Also, there wasn't anyone at the gate to check in? Otherwise, the campground had plenty of mature trees and space between campers. We didn't use the shower facilities because we have that in our unit. However, they appeared to be well maintained from the outside. There are some really nice hilltop views of the lake & 5 minutes from attractions of Wisconsin Dells. (Kalahari, discount mall, etc)

Their website is garbage. We thought we were arriving to a site with full hookups and arrived to a site with zero hookups. We packed up after one day and will never park in a state campground again!

Over all a good place. A few flaws which I didn't like. I didn't like the fixed light post hanger was in the way and had to work around it. Mostly a kayak destination area. Beautiful trails, but limited amount of trails to go through. If you're tenting and didn't mind the highways noise. Electrical spots didn't have tent pad options, but it was wide enough for a pulled winnebago and tent together. Dogs are allowed and leashed. If I remembered, no dogs on beach like any WI state park with dogs. Northern camp sites are the power sites, shower seperated into men's / women's room. Southern camp sites are not powered, but updated flushable toilet and showers. Bait shop and kayak rentals at boat launch are still closed due to COVID-19. Would admit it is a busy state park. Good luck and happy camping. I enjoyed it!

Part of Mirror Lake State Park, Sandstone ridge is just section within the park, which was a little confusing until we arrived. Nice park with quality shower facilities. The beach area we went to was very secluded and had a backwater quality we enjoyed. Close to all the wacky doo craziness in the dells but is quiet and relaxing.

We had our Dogs! Please just keep them on a 6ft leash and pick up after them!
