No services. Super primitive.

Free! Camped here twice, one night each time. We were able to get down a very rutted dirt driveway to the campground and turn around with 35 feet worth of truck and camper. I wouldn't recommend anything larger then that. It's quiet, secluded, picturesque, and FREE! There's another much larger looking campground across from this one, directly across the river. I don't know anything about that one, except that it was partially visible from this one. The narrow river was very cold, but had good clean water with quick rapids. We didn't do any fishing. There was a short one minute trail you could walk to access a sandy beach, and water deep enough to swim. I'm going on memory here but I think the drive from Winthrop was approx 30 minutes max. I remember the country road and views to Winthrop were exceptionally pretty. The NF-51 was in awesome condition, not like our gravel roads in BC. At all!! Lol I would go back. Great campsite in a pinch for an overnighter but I think there's better places for longer stays. PS the times we stayed there were no amenities, not even garbage, so please people don't be jerks, pack it out. 😉

Kind of just 1 spot there. The river slows down and there are a couple pools to swim in and a rock that's maybe 3 or 4 feet out of the water to jump off of. That road is national forest land and there are many free campsites on either side of the river
