Our Transportation Department can be reached directly at 708-383-4806 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Currently we are providing rides for Oak Park and River Forest residents to dialysis appointments and limited rides to other medical appointments for a suggested donation of $1.00 per ride. Yes, if you are a resident of Oak Park or River Forest, you may call (708) 383-4806 to reserve a curb-to-curb ride in the local area. Rides to Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Hines VA, MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, and Westlake Hospital as well as Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park may be requested by calling (708) 383-4806 and making a reservation. We also provide regular shopping trips to Jewel in River Forest and Trader Joe's. Thanks for your question and interest. We have a regular knitting club that meets at our Senior Services Center, 130 S. Oak Park Avenue, on Mondays from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please call 708-383-8060 if you have additional questions.

We don't offer after-school programs through Oak Park Township, however, our community partners, including the Oak Park Police Department and the Park District, have summer programs.
