Our little Pom, Prissy looks absolutely amazing! We were so skeptical about taking her to a groomer because of her trauma and PTSD from being from a previous abusive and neglectful environment. Lauren sat in the floor with her until she was able to win Prissy over and Tonya had her acclamation to the grooming environment before even starting. The care and concern these people have for your beloved, forever pet is absolutely one of a kind. We will never go anywhere else for Prissy! She deserves the best and The Velvet Snout in Richardson is it!!!

I highly recommend Josh at Velvet Snout to anyone seeking outside training for their dog. We experienced a transformation with ours, a rescue who displayed aggression with various triggers, including being territorial over high- and even low-value objects, when being pet too long, and general spatial sensitivity. Josh’s program is fairly priced and does not use a shock collar. Once the two-week board-and-train completed, we received private instruction and a verbal and non-verbal cue program to complete at home. This built toward weekly group classes (lifetime access for the dog, no extra charge) where our dog could receive commands in a high-distraction environment with other dogs. I waited four months post-boarding pickup to share our experience so this recommendation would hopefully carry more weight. Our dog no longer exhibits that aggression. She is much happier and far more at ease now — as are those around her. Getting Josh’s help was the best decision we made for her and our home.

I brought my dog Honest for the boarding training and Josh did an amazing job. My dog had anxiety and has over came it by working with Josh. I also put her in the doggy day care and she love it. It allow her to play with other dogs and also work with other people/staff. There prices there are very reasonable and I will continue to send my dog to The Velvet Snout.
