The front desk was really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing. Especially the bacon day. The rooms are clean, the beds were comfortable, the tub was very nice and we had a great time visiting Topeka.

Previous guest obviously smoked in the bathroom of the no smoking room. The front desk attendant offered to switch rooms. I asked that he just spray an aerosol to mask the smell, which he did. He had a positive make it right attitude.

The staff was so helpful when we checked in. The room was clean and cozy. The lady that was serving breakfast was the sweetest! Great food. This place is nicely located just off I-70.

Friends, as we live in the west and much of our family is in the east, we travel across I70 through Kansas regularly. We’ve stayed at a variety of locations over the years as we’ve traveled, including this location more than once. This is our first time at this location since the pandemic. It has gone downhill significantly. It’s not as clean and needs significant maintenance. It sounded like vehicles were driving through our room all night. There was no buffer between us and the highway noise. Our toilet dripped consistently through the night sounding as if someone was knocking on the door. Finally, there were some kids blowing off steam in a room near us that sounded like jumping and running. We called the front desk 3 times through the evening and night and nothing was done. We won’t be back.
