What a great place to take your fur babies to socialize. Great for them mentally, physically and teaches them socializing skills. 🐶

Unfortunately, Duffeeland over the past 5 years has gone from a fairly decent place to bring a dog to basically a giant sand box. It's hot there and the cover that was added really doesn't give much relief. The sand isn't really a good surface for dogs or humans due to lack of traction. I have witnessed really bad slips by dogs and humans. Also, if there is high wind, you get a mouth of "sand-wich". It gets in your eyes and stings your skin too. There are mounds of sand which makes it difficult for retrieving waste when your dog goes potty at the top. I like the sidewalk that goes through the park when it isn't covered in sand. The parking lot has alot of sand also. They have planted trees that give no shawe. If the sand were grass, the place would look like a golf course or a little oasis and maybe not smell as much. There are picnic tables and benches but most are in direct sunlight. It's been more of a park for owners to gather and talk until sunset. It does close fairly early perhaps due to lack of proper lighting. There is usually a fly problem. For some reason they thought it was a good idea to make the gate one that you have to both touch with your finger and grab with your hand to open. There is a bulletin board for the dog club. Due to Sun glare, it's difficult to read. I see a lot of potential for this park, however, for the present its worth it to go elsewhere for a grassy place.

This dog park is part of the facilities provided by Sun City HOA. Very nice and clean. Lots of trees and buildings for shade. Nice benches and chairs for comfortable seating while you're there. Dog owners are very good about making sure their pets are well behaved. They play with other dogs and generally have a great time. Plastic bags are provided so you can clean up after your dog. Pet owners can spend time talking with other owners and enjoying the park too. Very nice place to take your dog for exercise and play time.
