It was a nice day at the Heard's Museum looking at the jewelry and artifacts from the early years. There was Hoop Dancer and a lot of people showing off the items to buy.

You can go free almost any day. Step one. Go to local library. Step two. Ask library for card. Step three. Ask for culture passes available. Step four. Check out pass for the dozens of museums they have. Step five. Take a friend, the pass is good for two people.
Yes there is no cost to park
Very good option! Lots of education their.. You just might have to read to them.

The museum does not perform any appraisals but hosts 2 appraisal days a year where independent traders and experts will evaluate items. The next appraisal day is April 21, 2018.
I pretty sure they'll be let in for free. I didn't actually have to show an ID when I went. I just told them that I was Native.
There are a few wheelchairs available on a first-come-first-serve basis outside of festival/ event days. Carts or other forms of mobility assistance brought by visitors are welcome in the museum.
I'm not sure if they can, but I'd ask in the gift shop.
The Heard Museum is free on First Fridays starting at 4pm
I was there yesterday around 3 pm and there were open tables.
Check if your library has a culture pass program. That's how I was able to visit the museum at no cost to me.
Stuart, we do have one planned for "Toward the Morning Sun". We had some significant production delays but the publication is in the works and will (hopefully) be available in about 3 months. It will be available in Books & More and online at heard.org/shops. We are glad you liked the exhibition!
I think you'd have to speak to someone.
Hello, pre-purchase not required but you will save a few dollars and make check in a breeze! For events like Hoop Dance and Indian Fair and Market pre-purchase is strongly recommended.
There is a little cafe inside the Herd Museum that was really good. I highly recommend it.
The Heard Museum is in Central Phoenix, about a mile (1.6km) from downtown and right on the Phoenix Light Rail.

We got there 2 hours before closing and didn't get to see everything we wanted to. I recommend starting on the second floor with the native American boarding school exhibit.
I was provided senior pricing and I'm 65.
The docents seemed extremely knowledgeable. If you call and ask for one of them, I bet they can answer or point you in the right direction.
Sorry. I don't know the answer to that question, unfortunately.
The next Appraisal Day will be posted on the heard.org events calendar as soon as a date is finalized. It should be sometime in late March to mid-April.
Sorry but I don't know

Twice each year the Heard hosts an appraisal day where you could have it evaluated. The last one was in November 2017. You might call them to see when the next one is going to be held. You can also try American Society of Appraisers, appraisers assoc of America, and international society of appraisers. Those appraisal costs would be higher than if you waited for the next appraisal day at the Heard, ($25).
