A couple days ago, I went to this bank to get a piece of paper from work get signed by a notary. One of the tellers told me that they cannot provide notary service for people who doesn’t bank there. First of I went there because a lot of my friends bank with them and I have been in that specific location for other business before and second it was the nearest bank since I was going the fax the paper at the FedEx across the street. Then I had to drive to Washington Federal Bank on the other side of the Mall and get it done. Surprisingly they didn’t ask me such questions. After appreciating the person, I told her what have happened at the other bank and the person said they give service to anybody whether they bank with them or not because it only takes a couple of minutes. This is another great example that we need to do business with local and smaller banks.

I had a good experience. I'm kind to people and usually have kind responses. Never had any issues, I've opened an account here few years ago and everyone was patient with my toddlers exploring and bouncing on the chairs.
Routing numbers are public record so if you know what state the routing number is in and what bank you should be able to Google it
Yes, you can deposit cash anywhere you want depending to your bank policy. There are a couple of banks such as Idaho Central credit union pioneer bank and more have a common membership which you can deposit your money to any of their branch bank of their network. However, some MTNs don't allow to deposit cash, except withdrawing money service. If you are asking about how safe is it to walk with cash in Boise, i can assure you that it is very safe here in Boise compared to other States.
