gwen oh
i stayed here in the adolescents ward for around a week and a half. didnt get the help i needed + came out worse. prevented me from immediate self induced danger, i guess, so if you're in immediate danger this might be an okay place at best. got inappropriately touched by other psych ward patients while the staff watched + got into many unprovoked fights slept on cold hard beds with one very flimsy sheet and the showers were CONSTANTLY cold to the point where showering became an uncomfortable burden and i wouldnt want to do it most times most of the tech staff dont seem qualified to handle the level of care a general psych ward unit needs and one staff told us that she doesnt want to take care of us, and wouldnt be here if she had the option to leave but shes getting paid to put up with us. food was good. thats the only positive, but you can get better care elsewhere.

No one ever wants to find themselves in a situation where they need to be hospitalized for mental health; however if you find yourself or a loved one in that situation I would suggest Spring Mountain over 7 Hills. The first night I was at 7 Hills hospital my back started to spasm. A male staff member made a comment to me about me “needing a massage.” I thought it was odd and told the appropriate staff members my concerns. The second night I was there I woke up with severe back pain and needed to get my bed adjusted (which only staff can do). The man who made the massage comment the night before was asked to help adjust my bed. Once he entered my room he came around behind me and without consent began to rub my back. I pushed his hands away from my back. When I did this he said "Sorry I have big hands." He then went over to the opposite side of my bed to adjust it and proceeded to ask me how old I was. I replied 37 and he made a comment that he was around the same age. He then made a comment with a tonality that sounded flirtatious saying "I needed a full body massage." I tried to defuse his comment by saying "I just need a tennis ball for my back." His comments and behavior caught me off guard. It was 5am and I was still half asleep. This male staff member is five times my size and in a position of power over me. At this point I was personally fearful of his conduct and after 15 minutes of wondering what I should do, I reported him. An investigation was opened and the security cameras were reviewed. The male staff member denied touching me and since there were no cameras in my room they decided not to do anything about it. The incident was quick. The male staffer was only in my room for 3 minutes. Courtney the patient advocate told me that it is my word against his and that since I “waited 15 minutes to tell someone” I wasn't believable. I was livid at this comment and asked her how many people DON'T say anything at all? I told her this male staff member was using "grooming" type of behavior. Courtney said that I was an adult and inferred I should have reported it right away to have been believable. I felt victimized again and I told her so. I also mentioned to her that this staff member was a liability, but Courtney did not seem to care. If you have another option for behavioral hospitals/rehabs go there.

the staff assaulted and my friends the doctor punched us when we asked for long term and he told us no one cares if we die and the staff called us ugly and forced us to fight

I do not recommend this facility at all, especially if you have children. I’ve never seen such disorganization and the staff is very rude in an environment you’d expect to be caring. I was told visitation was at a specific time and, when I arrived at that time, it took staff 15 minutes to acknowledge I, among other parents were there, which cut into visitation time. Then the staff member had the nerve to tell us that we need to be on time and, when multiple parents including myself said that we were there on time, he proceeded to argue with us. He was extremely unprofessional. They will tell you to call after 7pm but only answer 1 out of 10 times. Then they didn’t know who my daughter was. Then they said to call after 7:30 and tried to tell me the other person must have misspoke. When it was several staff memebers who said it was 7pm. I mean these people are supposed to ba taking care of your kids? It didn’t instill much faith. Never mind the fact that you you feel shut out to what is happening in there. I highly recommend seeking another option if you can.

Then don't take them there my daughter was given meth in there by another patient and she flipped out the patients are not swallowing meds saving and then snorting the staff is rude the Doctors are incompetent and they don't help ANYBODY
its locked down and yes
Yes, they do.
I AM NOT AN EMPLOYEE OR PAST PATIENT OF THIS PARTICULAR INSTITUTION; however I do have personal experience being in this type of setting as a patient myself, I just want to make that clear. Anyhow, to answer your question; Unfortunately it is against the law to confirm or deny an individual's presence in any hospital/ inpatient setting unless the patient specifically gives permission of authorization to an individual( s). I would try to ask anyone who is closest with her to ask. Because even though there are laws that protect the individual there are those too that protect these places and they have to have an emergency contact from that patient "in case something happens," whether it be a relative, friend, or neighbor. I don't mean to scare you with the quotations but it's just the honest truth.
Depends on whether you're visiting a kid or adult and what day of the week it is
Yes, they DO take medicaid. You need to call regarding which HMO or PPO you have
No
Good question. If you ever get anyone on the phone it's a miracle. And a correct answer is a double miracle.. This place is a joke how it's still running is beyond me.
Well if u look up statistics for mental health care. Nevada comes in dead last for all 50 states. & hardly no funding.
No they do not take it, even though they say they do. You'll get stuck with the bill afterward.
