Fairly steep, but short hike from parking lot to the top. For strong hikers, it’ll take 15-20 minutes. Beautiful views of the Vegas valley, can be very windy up top.

Can't call this a hidden gem because its not really hidden, but its a Las Vegas area gem! Plenty of parking, train is easy access, not too difficult to get to top, and hiking trail goes all the way around the mountain. Gorgeous views of Las Vegas valley, the strip, cotton candy sunsets, a must go to for anyone, locals or visitors.

Wouldn't it had been fascinating if a traffic tunnel were excavated through Lone Mountain and if the 215 went through, before they decided the 215 be as far west as it is and before houses were built on the north and south side of Lone Mountain?

Best place to park is the park ne corner of lone mtn, not sure if you are able to ride up, but definitely riding down would be fun!
