Have a very basic question about the marriage application. I've called six times over the course of a week. No one answers the phone in any department and no one returns phone calls when you leave a message. My question would take less than five minutes to answer. I hate to pull this card, but I'm a taxpayer and my taxes literally fund this department. I get it, they could be busy, but to never answer the phone during office hours, and to not return calls is insane, especially considering that I literally fund their operation with tax money. I just need one questions answered, why should I have to take time off work to drive out there to ask it in person? Absolutely ridiculous.

This department is a joke and getting a marriage license there is a mistake. My husband and I went there because we are from out of state but getting married in Butler Co and then moving to Ohio. We got our license (so we thought), got married, got certified copies, and then we were told they got audited and our license was voided. It was an error they made but they blamed us for it and we are now going through the process to fix their mistakes. Staff is rude and disrespectful and refused to give us assistance despite it being their error that caused the issue in the first place. Please avoid getting a marriage license here at all costs.
