This pantry is amazing. They are so helpful and you literally drive through. But don't worry if you do not have a car then you can walk up as well.

Even though my friend and I arrived toward the end of distribution, we still received a large amount & variety of fresh food. The volunteers were kind & friendly, and it was a great experience!

Everyone is welcome for the Drive Thru food distributions on WEDNESDAYS 9:00 am - 11:00 am. A license or ID is helpful for the sign-in process, but not required.
I am 65 and need food and help with my handicapped front porch is fallen down
You can go every day if you like. We get there around 11 -1130 and wait in line in our cars. They come around to each car and get your info regarding each person in car who's family is in need. Today 3 of us went together and we got the same amount for each family. They're really awesome. Mon, Tues, and wed are the regular days. I'm so grateful for the help they all give at the Dayton food pantry.
The current hours for the Drive Thru food distribution are: WEDNESDAYS 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
The Foodbank does accept walk ups on Wednesdays between 9am and 11am and it is located on the RTA Bus 8 route.
Yes. You can go there or online and apply for food assistance. They have an income guideline. I do not work directly for them but my nonprofit works with them.

Good morning Shannon. We will work with you to give you as much food as you can conveniently carry. The Drive Thru items vary each week, but it is always a mix of fresh protein, dairy, bread/bakery, and shelf stable foods. We recommend bringing large shopping bags and/or a rolling cart for the food items.
Drive Thru hours are WEDNESDAYS 9:00 am - 11:00 am

I'm not sure I can answer this question but you can call the food bank or visit them on armor place to ask. Sorry I couldn't be helpful with this question.
Hi Teresa! You can go to any local Kroger store to drop off food donations. The barrels are located at the front of the building near the cash registers.
It is also listed on their website
No
Yes, drop by anytime between 8am and 230pm Mon thru Fri. Ask for Charles and Well be happy to help unload.
I would call them. That is a sell by date the chips are still basically good. I would also ask around at the shelters as well. You could also pull up outside of one of the shelters or soup kitchens and tell the actual people going there that the sell date is expired. People such as myself would be grateful for anything given to them.
I had the exact same experience with the exact same product. However I did consume the snack and it was still fresh and tasted well. I experienced no issues. I think there might be some confusion about a sale date as opposed to a expiration date. I can't imagine that the food bank would knowingly and purposely distribute rotten food. I do know that it is important to consume the food you receive soon especially fruits and vegetables
I am sorry i don't know about that i would call them
That's fine...come into the front...my name is trish and I will be happy to help
It's not a regular foodbank..there the main distribution
The Job Center and The Dayton Metro Library. TJC will help with obtaining a job, skills, and seeing if you qualify for WIOA. DML offers classes for obtaining a job, skills, etc., and can provide info to resources both at the library and beyond. Good luck! thejobcenter.org daytonmetrolibrary.org/careerexpo
There is a drive through today at 2pm for senior boxes
The food bank is located on Armour place
Give them a call to find out when/how to volunteer, they do groups and individuals
The food bank itself doesn't give out food directly, it sources food in large quanties , therefore receive a discounted price for buying in bulk. Then agencies from around the Dayton area either come to the Foodbank or receive deliveries of food to distribute to individuals or families. So although they are located on the west side of Dayton, they impact the city of Dayton and surrounding areas. You can call the Foodbank to find an agency near you, and their respective hours of operation.
