Pulled over on my way to work for expired tags, explained to the officer I couldn't afford to pay my $150 registration quite yet, I'm struggling financially, so he wrote me $160 ticket for it. Way to protect and serve. I get it, though, he's probably bored out of his mind and tickets are the city's leading revenue, I'm sure π

This is the one and only time in my 66 years that I have ever attempted to make a police report about an incident I experienced with a truly irrational and abusive βroad rageβ driver that caused me to feel threatened, intimidated and fearful. I called the Centerville Police to file a report and was told that an officer would visit me to respond to my complaint. This responding Centerville Police officer was not interested in listening to me from the beginning; he had a patronizing attitude towards me and did not take my complaint seriously, continuously interrupting me and repeating that the person/ driver didnβt βdo anything illegalβ to me. Duhhh. That may be true and I understand that. But I wasnβt trying to file some criminal complaint. As a tax paying citizen, I expect that if I have been threatened, intimidated and harassed for no reason whatsoever, I should be able to file some kind of a report or complaint for the record and be treated with respect and dignity. Instead, I was treated like my βissueβ is of no importance or significance and made to feel like I was wasting his time. Very unimpressed with and disappointed in my experience with this Centerville Police officer.
