I would call and ask to speak to a supervisor.
Wrap it in plastic and set it out with your garbage and this will generally suffice but if you're not sure, you can get on the website or whatever and let them know and they will inform the driver that it's there.

Allow the mixture to sit until comletely dry. Set the dried paint cans next to the garbage. Make sure to remove the lid.
