This park is open 24/7, 365 unless there is flooding. For registered campers there is no curfew at the gate, you may enter/exit as you please because it is manned 24/7. For "day use" the hours of operation are 6am-10pm daily (swimming, fishing, picnicking).
Yes this time of year people are still camping out there
There is a $2 fee to come in on foot or by bicycle. Even if someone simply drops you off at the gate, there is a $2 charge, unless you are meeting registered campers at the gate.
Loyd Park (neither is Lynn Creek) is NOT part of the State Parks system, so a state fishing license IS required, as well as the gate fee to enter the park. They do not sell fishing licenses within Loyd or Lynn.
There are no jet ski or motorized boat rentals at Loyd Park, only canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. The marina outside of Lynn Creek does offer motorized boat rentals, but does not offer jet skis.
