We freeze the fresh baguettes in a Ziploc bag or bags immediately. When you are ready to eat, remove and allow to come to room temp, in order to re-absorb the moisture. Wrap each baguette individually in tin foil and place in an oven preheated to 350° for 5-10 minutes. Remove the baguette from the foil and place it back in the oven for 1-3 minutes until the outside is the desired texture. Then remove and allow to rest for a couple of minutes. If doing this with a long baguette, cut it into smaller pieces before freezing. I do this all the time and it totally works. You have to eat the reheated baguette within the hour. You can only do this once.

I just called and was told they don't make anymore ..Only for Mardi Grad season. They don't know how much money they missing out on after Mardi Grad!!!

They are only doing online ordering this year. No walk ups. They also have resellers around the city.

Do you mean birthday cakes? If so, currently we do not offer online ordering for cakes. We do take phone orders for cakes.

I'm not sure how they ship; because, I love HI-DO much more. The most delicious is their cream cheese filled king cake is amazing. I've lived in New Orleans all my life; I've eaten 100's of king cakes in my lifetime. Hi-do is the ultimate. Ask around. To be honest, I don't know what this hype is over Duong Phuong. They're dry and stale.

They open at 08:00 and the line is long but it moves pretty fast. They usually run out by 10:00. I was there at 11:30 the other day and they still had some available, though.

You can order ahead but you pick up at the bakery.

King Cakes are only available for walk-in customers. We start selling at 8:00 am. We usually sell out before 11:00 am. If you get here at 8:00 am you will have your choice of flavors. There is a limit of three per person.

there was a new story last year that said you could order the king cakes in advance on their website, but I just went to their website and there doesn't seem to be an online ordering area. I would suggest calling in advance and placing an order; you likely will not be able to get your king cakes the day you call but you can set up a day to pick them up. Edit. I just saw another question like this and the owners said the online ordering starts Dec 30th, for Jan 6th pickup.
