Ordering and prep of your bahn mi is at a separate area of the bakery, unfortunately the cashier is all one line. Not sure but you might be able to avoid the bakery crowd by dining next door at the sit down restaurant?

You can order banh mi out of turn. No wait for that. But avoiding kung cake line is problematic because its same door.
Not sure, I went around 11:30 the wait was 1.5 hours,
King cake pre orders are a sperate line from the bakery, where you order banh mis. I say go anytime.
