This course was INCREDIBLE! Great condition and great course layout…the course is nothing short of amazing. With that being said the entire staff and environment is awful. We golfed the day before a tournament and were asked multiple times if we were playing in it (because we were the youngest people on the course at 20 and 21) when we answered no we were just playing casually we were treated quite condescending in conversation. The group in front of us assumed we were awful at golf and were disappointing to converse with due to the fact they were clearly scratch golfers. Me and my friends are not, but we are certainly better than the average golfer and the way we were treated for our age was very surreal and disappointing. There were some exceptions within the staff, but for the most part the staff was rude and came off snobby…the only people that were enjoyable to speak to and respectful were the group behind us (who we talked to quite a bit as we were held up by groups that we were catching the pace-of-play blame for). Still worth playing this gorgeous course 100%.

Very nice golf course. We played the day after heavy rains and course still played well. I can't wait to go again next time I am Up North. Hopefully sunny and 75 next time though!

What can i say but wow! Staff was incredible and the clubhouse was small but really nice. The food we had after our round was nothing short of amazing. After all that the golf course was so unique in its challenges and laid out so well it so much fun to play even with some high scores.

Here photographing the course & conference center, including wildlife. Beautiful. Video & stills will be edited into video by Michigan Golfer News (Great Lakes Sports Publication) & Frog Prince Studios (I'm Senior Photographer of the former & I am the latter) & posted on Jennie McCafferty's YouTube channel.

We stayed in the hotel (lodge) then moved to the apartment and the last night we stayed with family in a condo. Beds we're very uncomfortable but the apartment and lodge were newly renovated and beautiful. We love black lake!!
It depends on the calendar, from about May to September u pay ' summer rates' which are higher than the rest of the year. Also if u or someone in your group is s UAW member or retiree u pay a different rate. My advice is to call ahead and tell them when you'd like to play and go from there. It's a great course that's usually in excellent condition IMHO.
When you book your tee time on the website it will give rate depending on 9 and 18
Not sure I would contact the clubhouse
Depending on par 3 avg 160 Par4 370 Par5 510
